Redo = 69% and below
Graded assignments and tests will be sent home every Friday in students’ Friday Folders. Students are required to bring Friday Folders back the following Monday or next school day.
When a student receives a grade below a 70%, he or she will be asked to redo the assignment and will be retaught the material. The most credit a student can receive on a redo assignment is a 70%. A note will be stapled to the assignment for parents to sign if a student has a redo to keep communication open between school and home regarding student grades.
Homework Policy
Students are expected to complete their homework every day. Failure to turn in homework the next day will result in a tally for that subject. If the same assignment is not turned in by the next day, another tally will be given. Below are the consequences when a student receives enough accumulated tallies for each subject QUARTERLY.
Planner Policy
Students are responsible for copying EVERYTHING from the classroom planner to their planner. Students are expected to write neatly and have a parent or guardian sign it on a daily basis. Planners will be checked for signatures the following morning. It is the students’ responsibility to have their planner signed by a parent/guardian and their teacher daily. A student will receive a tally mark for not having it signed. Below are the consequences when a student receives enough accumulated tallies for failure to have their planner signed QUARTERLY.
Tally Consequences
1 tally = warning
2 tallies = reminder lap
3 tallies = make a plan
4+ tallies = students calls home
10+ tallies = meeting with parents and principal
